Maha Al-Badrani Okaz/Saudi Gazette MADINAH – The administration of Taibah Children's Village has asked for help from the police after female inmates smashed an iron partition that separated their accommodation from the administrative section. Five security units accompanied by representatives of the Social Supervision Office arrived at the scene and took statements from the orphanage director. The police then referred the files of several inmates who insulted the orphanage director to the Bureau of Investigation and Prosecution (BIP). Col. Fahd Al-Ghannam, spokesman for Madinah police, said they received a call from the orphanage saying a number of inmates went berserk and insulted female workers at the facility. Sources told Okaz/Saudi Gazette that the inmates admitted they had smashed the iron partition. They were upset because the female director did not listen to them and they were made to stand under the hot sun behind the partition. The sources added that the police did not take any of the accused into custody. One inmate alleged that the workers wanted to remove some of them from the orphanage and had threatened them in the past.
