CAIRO — Egyptian singer Shaza for the first time will be acting in a series dubbed “Officer and Hangman.” Shaza will play the role of a girl called Mona in the series, which is expected to go on air in Ramadan. The plot of the series revolves around two brothers who are police officers and neighbors of Mona. However, one of the police officers is good and the other one is corrupt. Mona falls in love with the corrupt police officer, but when she discovers the truth she starts befriending the good police officer. The series is written by Magdi Al-Ebiari and directed by Hani Ismael. Other actors starring in the show are Tarek Lutfi, Muhammed Karim, Bosayna Rashwan, Subhi Khalil and Haaan Mostafa. — SG
