Published in The Saudi Gazette on 28 - 06 - 2012

JEDDAH – Ewaan Global Residential Company has awarded RCC (Ruwad Civil Construction) a contract for the construction of 185 villas in both Phase 1 & 2 of the Alfareeda residential project in North Jeddah.
With a total value of SR92 million, the contract comprises of 95 villas in Phase 1 valued at SR48 million and 90 villas in phase 2 valued at SR44 millions.
"RCC is renowned for the construction of a number of prestigious projects in Jeddah and based on the high quality of its work and excellent track record of on schedule completion we had no hesitation in selecting the company for our flagship residential project," said Eng. Fahad Al-Mutawae CEO of Ewaan, developers of the Alfareeda residential project.
Valued at over SR1.2 billion, Alfareeda residential project is being constructed on one million square meters of land and consists of more than 2,000 residential units.
"The project is moving according to schedule and 80 percent of infrastructure work in Phase one is complete. In addition, with the onsite show villas now open for viewing, we are keenly looking forward to welcoming prospective buyers to take a look at the superior residential units we are offering in the urban extension of the city that is already known as New Jeddah."
Dr. Shaher Altaqi, Chairman of RCC, said: "Alfareeda residential project is the largest of its size and one of the most important developments taking place as Jeddah expands to the north, opening up the opportunity for Jeddah's middle class citizens to locate themselves and their families in a new environment of tranquil beauty, yet equipped with a state-of-the-art infrastructure and conveniently close to the new and planned institutions and facilities that are defining New Jeddah as a world class modern city in its own right."
Alfareeda villas come in four distinctive architectural styles: Dar Al Husson villas designed to express the unique character of Red Sea towns; Dar Al Rehab villas in Spanish-Mexican style; Dar Al Muna villas that reflect the character of old Jeddah in a distinctive modern style; and Dar Al Sa'adah villas inspired by the architectural heritage of the Mediterranean. – SG
