Amaco, Bluestar, Panorama and MDH in semis

In DCA Twenty20 League, which is sponsored by Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo, Amaco, Bluestar, Panorama and MDH downed their rival teams to enter semifinals here.
Amaco outplayed Srilankans Sports Club by 8 wickets.
After electing to bat first Srilankan Sports Club openers fell cheaply at 11. Then, Shihab made some brisk drives and accelerated the score to 49. After the fall of third wicket, the incoming batsmen were not able to provide support to Shihab. With superb bowling and fielding of Amaco, Srilankan Sports Club was restricted to 102 in 17 overs. For Amaco CC, Tafsir and Ismail bowled splendidly and captured 3 wickets each.
Amaco Jubail Cricketers openers Shabbir and Zaheer shared 39 runs for the first wicket in just 6 overs.
One down Niyaz proved his batting prowess to steer the team into semis by the 13th over with 8 wickets in hand. Niyaz scored 49 not out and Shabeer 34.
Bluestar trounced Falcon CC by 7 wickets.
Opting to bat Falcon CC opened with Riyaz and Adarsh. It lost two wickets early - opener and one down batsman Kello. However, the middle order batsmen batted steadily and accelerated the score.
Kishore smashed 8 sixes in his unbeaten 68 and laid a target of 134 for Blue Star.
Blue Star captain Hyder and Ashraf began the chase but lost three frontline batsmen in succession.
However, Ashraf, who has been its mainstay, rescued the team with excellent support from Irfan who dazzled to make quick 42. They achieved the target in just 14 overs with 7 wickets in hand. Ashraf remained not out on 68.
KCC Knights was beaten by Panorama CC by 35 runs.
Batting first, Panorama suffered an early loss. But Javeed and Rasheed batted steadily contributing 51 runs for the second wicket. After the fall of Javeed (20), Afwan joined Rasheed and they crossed 76 in first 10 overs. Despite the fall of two quick wickets it set a respectable target of 166.
In reply, KCC Knights' frontline batsmen could not tackle the rival bowlers and KCC lost five wickets for 47. Though the team bounced back it fell short by 35 runs.
MDH Stuns ICC by 4 runs.
MDH opted to bat first and lost opener Adnan in the second over.
But Mazhar and Naseem batted steadily and shared 48 runs for the second wicket. After the fall of Mazhar (25), it lost two more wickets and was four down for 77.
The middle-order batsman Mohamamed Ali batted marvelously and contributed 44 runs to set a target of 134 from its allotted overs. For ICC, Mubarak captured 3 wickets and Anwar bagged 2.
While chasing with steady contribution from frontline batsmen ICC scored 64 in the first 10 overs for the loss of 4 wickets. Determined batting display from ICC batsmen failed to make the required runs and fell short of 4 runs. __
