Apna Ghar, Mazco, MHA and Saliheen enter semifinals

Saliheen Cricket Club beat Al-Khulais-XI by 30 runs, Mazco shocked Hyderabad Green Cricketers by 6 wickets, the young cricketers of Mohammad Harasani Architect (MHA) downed Bupa-XI by two wickets and AGIC-Apna Ghar India Club won over the experienced Butt Sports by just one wicket in the quarterfinal matches of Division-1 Jotun Paints Friday League, which is sponsored by the Jotun Paints Saudi Arabia and organized by the Jeddah Cricket Association.
Saliheen batted first and put up 169-7 through Imran 33, Hafiz 42, Qasim 20, Waheed 12 and Amjad 7. Ismail, Zahid, Usman and Imtiaz got one wicket each giving away 15, 20, 23, 30 runs respectively.
Al Khulais-XI, in reply, managed 139. Irshad top scored with 70, Jawad hit 13 and Malik 19. Abdul Waheed wrecked the batting by claiming 5-23. Irfan got 2-15. Hafiz Amer and Qasim claimed one wicket each.
Hyderabad Green tallied 144 against Mazco. Rayees 24, Irfan 21, Adeel 27 and Islam 10 were the main contributors. There were 30 extras. Hyderabad batsmen could not negotiate the bowling of Faisal Khan (3-28), Sabir (2-20) and Mehmood (3-21). Mazco lost Shoukath and Faisal cheaply but Naseer 39, Tabassum 53 (23 balls), Sabir 35 not out steered the team to victory by six wickets with three overs left. Khalid, Rayees, Majid and Abdullah got one wicket each.
Bupa scored 185-5 against MHA. Guddu scored 79 off 46 balls, Majid Bhatti hit 46 from 21 balls and Raheel made 30. Abdul Rahman and Sajid claimed two wickets each and Khalid got one.
MHA scored the required runs with two overs to spare for the loss of eight wickets. Mohammad Sami 20 and Saad 22 provided reasonable start. Abdul Rahman made 15, Khalil 36, Riaz 27, Sher Mohammad 12 and Sajid 17. Yousuf claimed 3-34 while Raheel and Majid Bhatti took two wickets each. Faheem claimed one wicket.
Butt Sports batted first and put up 151 against AGIC-Apna Ghar India Club. Tariq 32, Junaid 22 and Umar 39 were the main contributors. Adil grabbed 2-33 and Zahid 2-31. A.Wasay and Sami claimed one wicket apiece. In reply, AGIC lost 9 wickets but managed to scrape home with one over to spare. Abdul Wasay was once again was the main contributor with 50. Rana made 22, Ali 12 and Zahid 17. A. Rahman and Umar claimed two wickets each while Junaid, Tariq and Ahmad got one wicket each.
In the consolation cup of Jotun Paints Cup for those teams that did not qualify for the knockout, IBS surprised ACC by 59 runs. IBS scored 188 and ACC got out for a paltry 129.
In the second match, Pak Young hammered Jeddah Challengers by 65 runs. Pak Young amassed 247 and Jeddah Challengers were restricted to 183. __
