13 of grades VI-VIII (girls section). — Courtesy photo The Prefect Investiture of grades VI-VIII (girls section) was held on May 7 in the boys school auditorium. Syed Masood Ahmed, the principal presided over the function, Dr. Najeeb Qais, vice principal(boys section),Farhadunnisa vice principal (girls section)and headmistresses of various blocks were present on the occasion. The ceremony began with the recitation of a few verses from the Holy Qur'an followed by its translation. After which, the Cabinet Members of 2012 -13 were officially announced: Head Prefect: Haika Fatima 8 A9 Sports Captain: Sheda Ashraf 8 A10 Literary Captain: Fathima Lakani 8 A4 Cultural Captain: Sharika Banachandran 8 A11 Green House Captain: Rahaf Adil 8 A5 Yellow House Captain: Farha Shehanaz 8 A11 Blue House Captain: Nabeela Samreen 8 A8 Red House Captain: Souwmya Suresh 8 A6 The Vice Principal, Farhadunnisa administered the oath to the Cabinet and thereafter pinned the badges and sashes to the members, and presented the house flags investing the responsibility of leading the block. A patriotic song was sung by the choir of the block followed by the class prefect taking oath administered by the Headmistress of grades VI-VIII block. A beautiful rendition of an English song by the choir made the ceremony memorable. Head Prefect Haika Fatima of grade VI shared her views of her journey on acquiring such a prestigious post. The outgoing house incharges were felicitated and given certificates in recognition of their services and the new house incharges were given charge. Sports prefect Sheda Ashraf proposed the vote of thanks and the ceremony came to an end with the singing of the National Anthem.
