Yemeni minister Okaz/Saudi Gazette SANA'A – Maj. Gen. Muhammad Nasser Ahmad, Yemeni Minister of Defense, said here Friday that the Yemeni army was continuing its search for the kidnapped Saudi diplomat, Abdullah Al-Khalidi. He stressed that Al-Khalidi's health and safety were top priorities and reaffirmed that the security and military authorities will not giving in to Al-Qaeda blackmailing. Hussein Abdullah Hussein Al-Ahmar, Chairman of the National Solidarity Council in Yemen, said that Yemeni tribes were using their influence to help free Abdullah Al-Khalidi, Saudi Deputy Consul General in Aden, from his Al-Qaeda kidnappers, said Al-Ahmar said that Yemen will not allow Al-Qaeda to spoil the good relations Yemen has with Saudi Arabia. He condemned Al-Qaeda for kidnapping Al-Khalidi and threatening to attack Saudi interests in Yemen. Al-Ahmar said these actions are harming Yemen's standing in the region and the world. In a statement to Okaz/Saudi Gazette, Al-Ahmar said Yemen respects the Saudi people and the efforts of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, to assist Yemen in fighting against sedition and threats to its security and stability. These efforts included the Gulf initiative agreement signed in Riyadh last October to resolve the conflict inside the country. __
