Job opportunities have sprung up at the Saudi Arabian Airlines to keep up with the increasing number of local and international flights. The airline has recently purchased new aircrafts, and hence they require a large number of skilled flight attendants for their flights.
The Director General of Saudi Arabian Airlines, Engineer Khaled Almolhem, said that the airline offers training courses and workshops to qualify young Saudi men to work in the most modern and high-tech aircrafts.
Developing and enhancing the skills of the flight crew will in turn improve the services and care provided on board the aircraft in order to ensure the safety and comfort of the passengers. In recent years, there has been intense competition between airline companies to attract skilled and trained flight attendants.
“I am confident that each Saudi member of our flight crew, in his dealings and communication with travelers who have come from all over the world to perform Umrah and Haj, will reflect the values that are at the heart of Islamic teachings and Saudi culture: generosity, nobility, and helping others,” he further added.
The airlines has prepared a list of eligibility conditions to apply for the post of flight attendant — Saudi nationality, high school or university degree, between twenty-one and thirty years of age, ideal weight, proficiency in the English language, and a medical certification of good health.
Priority will be given to graduates from tourism colleges and those who have experience in flight service and/or customer service.
University graduates will be required to attend a seven month training program and will receive a monthly financial allowance of SR4,500 during training. The training period for college graduates will be for eight months and they will be paid SR3,500 monthly, and high school graduates who will undergo a lengthy training will receive SR3,000 per month.
Additional incentives for young Saudis to enroll in this training program are medical insurance, a free ticket and another free ticket upon successful completion of the course.
