KSU Rector Dr. Abdullah Al-Othman, in a meeting with Philippine Ambassador Ezzedin Tago at the Rector's office on Feb. 18, said there were plenty of Filipinos working in administrative and technical positions at the KSU Hospital, plus some students as well. However, they would like to see more Filipino graduate students at KSU. Dr. Al-Othman stressed that admission was competitive and was based on excellence and proven achievements. He suggested for university graduates from the Philippines with great potential as researchers and academicians to explore the KSU website at http://ksu.edu.sa for more information. The two officials were joined by Program Director of the International Twinning Program Dr. Saad Alhussein and the Philippine Embassy's Cultural Officer Mohamad Taha Guinomla. KSU has said it also welcomed the possibility of a twinning agreement with a Philippine university to enhance cooperation in research and in the exchange of researchers and visiting faculty.
