The Federal Court of New York has dropped a case filed against the Kingdom by some insurance companies and the families of the September 11 victims because the case had been filed and dropped several times. The previous judges did not see any grounds to continue hearing the case. Now, the judge of a New York court dismissed the case because there was no legal basis to support it. When the case was dropped in 2005, the decision was supported by the US Supreme Court. So what motivated these insurance companies and the victims' families to revive the case when the US High Court had supported the dropping of the lawsuit? The US Supreme Court's backing should have given them the cue that it has no legal leg to stand on. Did the litigants file the case to blackmail the Kingdom? And were there other parties which supported them to tarnish the image of the Kingdom? Whatever are the motivations of those behind the filing of the case, they were trying to implicate the Kingdom which had nothing to do with the 9/11 attacks that razed the World Trade Center building. The terrorist group which caused the destruction of the WTC building in New York and took the lives of innocent civilians in the US is the same group which had bombed the Kingdom several times. This is the reason why the Kingdom led the war against terrorism and be among the first to call for an international cooperation against terrorism wherever it is. These companies and the victims' families are expected to file another lawsuit against the Kingdom over the 9/11 incident . They should know that the Kingdom will not change its position on the case. The Kingdom's policies and decisions are always based on the principles of justice and fairness. It will not succumb to unfair efforts to soil its reputation. __
