Devils rally past Islanders for 2-1 victory

Marek Zidlicky and David Clarkson scored 14 seconds apart in the final two minutes of the third period Saturday night to rally the Devils past the Islanders, 2-1, at Nassau Coliseum.
A goal by John Tavares gave the Islanders a 1-0 lead 6 minutes 46 seconds into the third period, and Anders Nilsson seemed poised to shut out the Devils for the second time in a week.
But Clarkson tied it with 1:39 left, scoring his 28th goal, and Zidlicky quickly gave the Devils the lead while P. A. Parenteau of the Islanders was in the penalty box for boarding.
Flyers 1, Maple Leafs 0: Ilya Bryzgalov made 29 saves for his third shutout in four games as visiting Philadelphia won in a shootout.
Claude Giroux scored the only goal in the shootout against Toronto's Jonas Gustavsson, who made 27 saves.
Capitals 4, Bruins 3: Alexander Semin had a goal and set up Jay Beagle's go-ahead score, leading Washington to its 12th win in 33 road games. Brooks Laich and Matt Hendricks also scored for the Capitals.
Sabres 4, Senators 3: Tyler Ennis scored in regulation and added the winning goal in a shootout to lead Buffalo past host Ottawa. Nathan Gerbe and Marcus Foligno also scored for the Sabres, and Ryan Miller stopped 33 shots.
Predators 3, Red Wings 2: Andrei Kostitsyn scored two power-play goals on assists from his brother, Sergei, to lead host Nashville past Detroit. Pekka Rinne made 35 saves for his 38th win of the season.
Blues 4, Blue Jackets 1: Brian Elliott made 21 saves as St. Louis tied a franchise record with its 29th home victory of the season. The Blues are 29-4-4 at home.
Coyotes 3, Sharks 0: Mike Smith made 42 saves to earn his fifth shutout as host Phoenix stopped San Jose. Mikkel Boedker, Michael Stone and Raffi Torres scored for the Coyotes.
Stars 2, Ducks 0: Brenden Morrow scored a power-play goal in his return after missing 18 games with neck and shoulder stiffness as host Dallas beat Anaheim. Kari Lehtonen made 21 saves to earn his 20th career shutout.
In other games Semyon Varlamov stopped both shots he faced in a shootout as Colorado held off visiting Edmonton, 3-2. Varlamov is 7-0 in shootouts this season. Cam Ward made 36 saves in earning his 199th NHL victory as Carolina beat host Tampa Bay, 4-2.
In another game Montreal beat Vancouver 4-1.
