Jarir Bookstore Kids Contest winners announced!Winner Mohamed Zahin Manappat with his parents and relatives. Kids and their parents across the Kingdom shared the fun and joy of learning during Jarir Bookstore “Enjoy & Learn” Online Kids Contest. This positive and interesting contest took place on Jarir Bookstore facebook page during January / February 2012. Its primary objectives were to highlight and nurture the children's talent at a young age. To join the contest, parents were encouraged to film and post a short video on Jarir Bookstore facebook page presenting their kids talent(s). Fans then rated the posted videos, and the ones with the highest ratings won the prizes. Wide selection of exemplary children's performances with admirable skills were seen in the kids' videos. A young storyteller from Dammam, Mohamed Zahin Manappat, won the first cash prize of SR15,000. Manappat is a grade one student at the Indian International School in Dammam (IISD) and he garnered a total vote of 250 in the contest. A budding poet and writer from Al khobar, Farah Swidan was placed second and she took home a cash price of SR10,000. With his physical strength in flexibility and dexterity Yassine Bounekhla from Jubail snatched the third prize with a cash prize of SR5,000. Jarir Bookstore has always believed that when it comes to our children, everybody is a winner, hence the committee decided to award all participating kids SR100 worth of purchases from Jarir Bookstore.
