RIYADH — A leading ladies group Sayyidat Al Riyadh organized a colorful summer festival that was highly attended by the ladies of Pakistan and several other countries.
The festival was full of activities and fun filled entertainment, several competitions including biryani cooking, cake baking, salad making and makeup artistry was held for the women.
The winners of the competition were awarded with gift prizes. Sameera stood first in biryani competition, Komal stood second followed by Naureen Asad. Lubna Hameed baked a special cake for the festival.
Prominent social woman, poetess and writer Dr. Hina Ambreen Tariq was the chief guest of the summer festival whereas prominent women of Riyadh including Bilquis Safdar, Farah Ehsan, Erum Amir and Prof. Tasneem Amjad were the special guests on the occasion.
The guests also presented special gifts to the participating ladies of the competitions and praised them for their enthusiastic approach.
Speaking on the occasion chief guest Dr. Hina Ambreen said, "It's really impressive that Pakistani ladies are well organized in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and participating in almost every kind of the events. Women always play an important and vital role in the development of the society. They take the lead and recognize themselves in every sphere of life," Hina said.
Speaking on the occasion the main organizers of the festival Farah Abdullah, Umme Ibrahim Qureshi, Nusrat Khan and Munaza Akhtar said that their motive is to provide some positive and healthy activities to the ladies so they can improve their lifestyle that can also bring more enthusiasm in their routines.
The main sponsors of the festival Saima Junaid, Aisha Iqbal, Efra Umar and Chanda Ali said that they always tried their best for the betterment of the women and that's why they always tried to support them in events related to women.
Sayyidat Al Riyadh is a well-known and popular social group of ladies. It has almost 17,000 members, while the fans of the group have also named it the ‘Google Al Riyadh'.
