Salman hits maiden ton of tourney

Salman of Friday Stallions recorded the first century of the tournament with a superb unbeaten 102 from just 33 deliveries against Zahid Group in the JSCL Season II event for the Indomie Champions Trophy here recently.
Opting to bat first, Friday Stallions scored a massive total of 190 runs without losing a wicket in 10 overs, powered by Salman's sparkling innings with 15 sixes and a boundary. His partner Kamran remained not out on 65 runs off 28 balls with nine sixes and a boundary.
Zahid Group started its chase well but kept losing wickets at regular intervals to be restricted to 120-4. Afroz scored 39 off 14 balls with 5 sixes and a boundary. Mahmood took 3-18. Salman was declared the Man of the Match.
Saudia Gladiators, put into bat by FH CC scored 122-7. Shahed top scored with 46 and Waqas hit 34. Farooq and Mubashir took 2 wickets each. In reply, FH CC managed 103-5, losing the match by 19 runs. Yasir Rana remained unbeaten on 45. Zubair, Ahmed Razi and Waqas took a wicket each. Man of the Match: Shahed.
Warriors continued their winning streak as they beat Deccan Youth by 38 runs. Batting first, Warriors tallied 133-3 with Saddam top scoring with 40, Zaheer making 34 and Quraishi remaining not out on 22. Asif, Shafiq and Farhan took a wicket each. In reply, Deccan Youth could manage only 95-4. Quraishi picked up 3 wickets. Man of the Match: Quraishi.
GBEST IDB registered its first victory, defeating Asia XI by 68 runs. Batting first, GBEST IDB put on 153-5 with Rizwan top scoring with 49, followed by Mazher (29), Abdullah (25) and Muzaffar (23 not out). Sayeed Rashed and Shoeb took a wicket each. While chasing, Asia XI was restricted to 85-9. Shoeb was the top scorer with 24. Abdul Qavi took 3 wickets, while a wicket each was taken by Rizwan and Mazher. Man of the Match: Rizwan.
Pepsi Alliance defeated Jeddah Gladiators by 46 runs. Batting first, Pepsi Alliance scored 161-4 as Daniyal top scored with an unbeaten 73, studded with 11 sixes and a boundary. Waqas remained unbeaten on 29. Manna and Qassim took a wicket each. In reply, Jeddah Gladiators managed 115-2. Asif scored 46 and Mannan 26. Ahmed Rizvi and Israr took a wicket each. Man of the Match: Daniyal.
Young Star defeated Arcoma by 7 wickets. Batting first, Arcoma put on 83-6. Abdul Raheem (22) was the top scorer for Arcoma, followed by Rukshan (17). Furqan Altaf took 2 wickets. Young Star reached 89-3 in 6.4 overs. Aamir scored 33 not out and Abu Hurairah 16. Man of the Match: Aamir.
In the last match, Lothers CC beat Junaid CC by 9 wickets. Batting First Junaid CC managed 70-8. Faraz scored 18, while Abdul Wahid and Samiullah took 2 wickets each. Lothers CC chased down the target in 4.1 overs with Abdul Wahid's quick-fire 41 off 14 balls. Waqas remained unbeaten on 18. Lateef took 1 wicket. Man of the Match: Abdul Wahid.
