JEDDAH — Wasalak 40s of coach Fred Conception defeated R Printing 40s 113-108 in overtime to lead 1-0 in the best-of-three championship series for 40 & Above Division of the Titan Watch-JBL Tournament at the Nazeeh and Wartah (AlBaik) Park basketball court in Khalidia here. Wasalak 40s played their hearts out in the dying seconds. Brian top scored with 25 points for the winner and was adjudged the Titn Watch best player of the game. Cobre had 22 points for the loser. Blazers of Khalid Gab Villanueva beat Tetra Pak 82-66 for the third place in Group A. Al-Arabi defeated Sunbulah 90-65 to grab the championship trophy in Group A Division. De Boss top scored with 24 points for the champion and was selected as the JBL best player of the game. Hagosonos scored 14 points for the loser. Laon-Alab Yellow downed Siglahi Blue 94-87 in the JBL Teens Parents Division. Bernard Carino had 40 points for the winner and was adjudged the Titan Watch best player of the game. Eleponga had 35 points for the loser. In the Midget All Star Game, Black defeated White 78-70. The winner played their running game well in the whole game. Durante and Franciso scored 20 points apiece. In the JBL Teens Mosquitos, White beat Yellow 26-25 as Hamza Suyat scored 16 points. Blue defeated Orange 21-18 and Brent De Borja top scored with 14 points. Black downed Red 26-16 with Divina Gracia collecting 14 points.
