Kingdom's renewable energy drive boosts 2 big events in Riyadh
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 26 - 03 - 2017

Driven by the growth of the construction and industrial sectors and the rapid increase in population, Saudi Arabia is deemed the fastest growing electricity sector in the GCC, with an expected investment of over SR337 billion.
Having realized the importance of efficient energy consumption in existing and future properties, the Kingdom is working on implementing the energy efficiency strategy to upgrade the energy sector to international levels.
And through rationalizing the consumption of energy, sourcing new ways to produce eco-friendly energy, supporting innovations and smart infrastructure, and endorsing the use of solar, nuclear and wind energy, the government is moving toward a new direction that embraces renewable and alternative energy projects. Accordingly, the Ministry of Energy, Petroleum and Mineral resources had recently announced its plans to launch the first renewable energy project in the Kingdom.
Moreover, the mega construction projects, valued at around SR300 billion offer huge opportunities for the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) market in Saudi Arabia, thus boosting the industry which attracted investments worth more than SR15 billion by 2015.
Accordingly, Saudi Elenex and Saudi Aircon 2017 Exhibitions are set to take place on May 14-16, 2017 with a diamond sponsorship from the Saudi Electricity Company at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center.
After concluding a successful edition in 2016 which has witnessed the participation of 157 exhibitors, and 4 international pavilions from 22 countries, the exhibition will continue its success through covering all aspects of the electricity, solar energy, lighting, and HVAC industries in this upcoming edition.
Saudi Elenex and Saudi Aircon exhibitions offer participants the ideal platform to showcase their latest products and services to a specialized audience attending from the Kingdom and other parts of the world, and provide them with the perfect medium to connect with government officials and other participants.
The exhibition also helps them explore the partnership opportunities, examine new projects in the energy and construction sectors, and identify new energy consumption rationalization technologies, besides giving their brand name a strategic exposure in the Saudi market.
