Reliance sets record in JPL

JEDDAH — Jeddah Premier League's (JPL) season-10 Dream India Cup 2017 was off to a hectic start as 22 teams out of 40 battled in 11 league matches in the morning and afternoon sessions on the inaugural day.
Reliance's record total of 302-2 against Barkatiya XI was the highlight of the day.
The tournament, which is mainly sponsored by Dream India Group, Hyderabad, is organized by Kingdom Sports Academy here. The co-sponsors are Sunshine School from Hyderabad (India), Mahmood Saeed Beverage Industry, Elite, Paradise Hotel Group, Parvaz Hotel Group, Bawarchi Hotel, Khind, Halwani, Fusion 9, Nestle and G-21 Optics.
Morning session
Telangana Warriors downed Azizia XI by 62 runs. Telengana Warriors posted 174-4 in its quota of 16 overs. Azizia XI, in reply, could score only 112-8. Akhil of Telangana Warriors was declared the Man of the Match for his all round performance of 48 in 35 balls and 3 wickets.
United Brothers humbled Azizia Deccan Royals by 44 runs. United Brothers put on 146-6. In reply, Azizia Deccan Royals was bundled out for 102 in 13.5 overs. Man of the Match: Paigham of United Brothers (88 runs in just 41 balls).
Gulbarga thumped Al-Fuzail CC by 24 runs. Gulbarga, batting first, scored 165. Al-Fuzail CC scored 141-7 in 16 overs. Man of the Match: Habib (88 runs in just 34 balls).
Yorkshire routed Sunrisers Hyderabad by 60 runs. Yorkshire 147-7 in 16 overs. Sunrisers Hyderabad 89-7 in 16 overs. Man of the Match: Abeedi of IOE Yorkshire (22 runs and 3 wickets).
Challengers Cricket Club 174-7. Jouf Jeddah Strikers 108 all out in 14.1 overs. Man of the Match: Harris (48 in just 15 balls and 1 wicket).
ICC Royals 170-4. Deccan Chargers 81 all out in 13 overs. Man of the Match: Manaf (50 runs in 21 balls).
Afternoon Session
Reliance beat Barkatiya XI by 154 runs. Reliance 302-2 in 16 overs. Barkatiya XI 148-7. Man of the Match: Masood (120 runs in just 41 balls and 2 wickets).
Bhatkal (BCA) 171-5. Elite 131-9. Man of the Match: Waseem (71 runs in 31 balls).
Zamil Cool Care 109-9. IOE 112-2 in 12 overs. Man of the Match: Zaheer (43 in 35 balls).
Hyderabad Royals edged Salama Falcons by 18 runs. Hyderabad Royals 175-9. Salama Falcons 157-8. Man of the Match: Imtiyaz (3 wickets).
