Panda delivers SR10 million check to Disabled Children's Association
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 14 - 02 - 2017

PANDA Retail Company handed over a check worth over SR10 million to the Disabled Children's Association (DCA), marking the remarkable success of its ‘Leave the Change for Them' program for the years 2015 and 2016.
The program was launched in 2006 in all Panda stores across the country to enable customers to donate ‘halala' coins to the DCA.
Prince Sultan Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Chairman of DCA and President of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage, received the check from Eng. Rayan Mohammad Fayez, CEO of Savola Group and Acting CEO of Panda Retail Company, who was accompanied by Hesham BaEissa, Public Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Manager and Board Secretary.
Thanking Panda Retail Company and its customers for their constant support to the program, Prince Sultan described the initiative as innovative and called upon companies to adopt similar programs that would give Saudi nationals as well as expatriates the opportunity to donate their spare change for the cause of disabled children. It is a charity initiative that offers continuous reward to donors, he noted. He also spoke highly of Panda CSR programs and the role the company plays in serving the country, its citizens and the society as well as bolstering the values of social solidarity advocated by Islam.
Eng. Rayan Mohammad Fayez said: "Panda is proud of the resounding success of this program which started over 10 years ago. One of the strategic objectives of Panda CSR policy focuses on extending support to the physically challenged children and meeting their needs through the DCA's offices across the Kingdom. This policy comes in line with the Saudi Vision 2030 that aims to enhance the role of CSR and establish the values of giving in the public and private sectors."
The DCA has allocated the donations collected under the ‘Leave the Change for Them' program for ‘Panda Customers Building', a charitable project being implemented in Makkah. The proceeds of the building will be utilized to support the operations of DCA's offices and its programs for the physically challenged.
