Bandaru Dattatreya, India's federal labor minister, was full of praise for India-Arab Friendship Foundation for its commendable role in fostering better and stronger ties between India and Arab countries. Dattatreya was speaking during a special event organized in the southern Indian city of Hyderabad, to mark the second anniversary of the foundation recently. "India-Arab friendship foundation's role is unforgettable in establishing of the good relation between India and Arab countries, said Dattatreya. He said that the Indian government has invited Shiekh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president of the United Arab Emirates, as a special guest to the upcoming India's Republic Day celebrations. He also said that relations between India and Arab countries have rapidly grown during the short time span of Prime Minister Modi's government, particularly in the security affairs, business and cultural fields. The Indian labor minister added that Prime Minister Modi is trying to bring all countries on a common platform to combat terrorism. The even was attended by many distinguished guests, including Indian Vice President Hamid Ansari, Home minister Rajnath Singh, several ministers of the present and previous ruling party, previous prime minister along with President of Sudan Omar Bashir, President of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and former New Zealand's President John Key. Ambassadors and diplomats from various countries also attended the second anniversary celebration of India-Arab Friendship Foundation. While lauding Jaber Patel, Ateeiq Siddiqi and Dilawar Hussain, the leading members of the foundation, Arab League envoy Dr. Hazim Al-Masowri said that the organization works as a bridge between people of India and Arab countries, its efforts are commendable, especially in development of education, business and other fields.
