My Care & Hala and ASDAF in MCL semis

Crown Steel, ASDAF XI, Kashmir XI, Young Stars, Jutt XI, MY Care & Hala, Taiba XI and Madinah Strikers advanced in Madinah Cricket League's SCC T20 Cup here.
Saleem, Wajhi, Bilal and Musawir put on performances par excellence in the two quarterfinals played. The T20 tournament is organized by Madinah Cricket League (MCL) and sponsored by Saudi Cricket Center (SCC).
ASDAF XI won the toss and elected to bat against Young stars. It turned out to be a one-sided encounter. ASDAF XI's top batsman Wajhi scored 50. Waqas supported him with 27 and Yousaf contributed 20. It set a reasonable target of 180-10 in 20 overs. Bilal claimed 4 wickets, while Mehmood and Muhammad took 2 each.
Young Stars, in reply, collapsed early and failed to handle the good line and length of ASDAF bowlers. Bilal was the pick of the bowlers as he took 3 wickets. Wajhi also bowled well for his 2 wickets. Yousaf also grabbed 2.
Young Stars managed only 126-10 in 19.1 overs. ASDAF XI won by 54 runs and booked a spot in the semifinals.
The other quarterfinal was played between two very strong sides - My Care & Hala and Kashmir XI. My care & Hala won the toss and elected to bat. Its star batsman Saleem showed his form and scored a century. He remained unbeaten on 118 off 64 balls. He was well supported by Shahzad (28) and Sadiq (24). MY Care & Hala put on 214 for the loss of 3 wickets. Imran, Ziarat and Asad took one wicket each.
Kashmir XI started well and put up a good fight but fell short by 22 runs. In-form Afzaal put on a good display of power-hitting as he scored 60. Asad made 34 and Ziarat 28. My Care & Hala won by 22 runs.
Next week Crown steel will play against Jutt XI in third quarterfinal, while Taiba XI will face Madinah Strikers. - SG
