Rain ruins morning matches in JCT
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 03 - 12 - 2016

Rain played spoilsport in the ongoing Season 6 of Jeddah Champions Trophy as the downpour hampered any chances of play in the morning session.
However, with sun beating down during the day the pitches eased out and all the matches scheduled in the afternoon were played.
Mahajar Heroes playing their third match of the season against Friends Cricket Team was left wandering as its rival racked up a mammoth score of 140 in its allotted quota of 15 overs. However, thanks to a belligerent innings of 70 by captain Firoz, Mahajar Heroes came out on top by chasing down the target with 8 balls to spare.
In other tense encounters, the organizer's team, Azizia Deccan, had its opponent Kingdom CC in a precarious situation at 58 for 6. But Samiuallah, coming in at No. 7, took the game away by smashing 37 runs with 5 sixes to take the score to 121. In reply, Azizia Deccan kept losing wickets at regular intervals to eventually lose by 10 runs.
The tournament is being organized by Azizia Deccan in association with Saudi Cricket Center and sponsored by Al-Miawiah, powerd by Al-Salem York, co-sponsored by Aqualite, Clas, G21 Optics and Intalaka Group.
