Published in The Saudi Gazette on 28 - 11 - 2016

Jacob Markstrom had 32 saves and made three consecutive stops in a shootout, helping the Vancouver Canucks beat the Colorado Avalanche 3-2 Saturday night.
Markstrom denied Nathan MacKinnon, Mikko Rantanen and Matt Duchene in the tiebreaker, and Markus Granlund converted his shootout opportunity for the Canucks.
Loui Eriksson and Alexandre Burrows scored for Vancouver, which went 2-1-0 on a three-game trip. The Canucks also improved to 4-1-1 in their last six games against the Avalanche.
Calvin Pickard, starting in place of injured goalie Semyon Varlamov, stopped 29 shots for Colorado. He is 4-1-1 in six starts this season.
Penguins 4, Devils 3 (SO): Kris Letang scored the only goal in the shootout after Sidney Crosby saved the Penguins by tying the game with 14 seconds left in regulation as Pittsburgh escaped with a 4-3 victory over the New Jersey Devils.
Michael Cammalleri scored two goals and Keith Kinkaid stopped 46 shots and for the Devils, who were in control for most of the game until Crosby grabbed the puck out of a pile of players in front of the crease and lifted it into net for his 15th goal in 16 games.
Letang had the Penguins' three best scoring chances in overtime, only to be denied each time by Kinkaid, but the defenseman —Pittsburgh's third shooter in the shootout — slid a backhander past the goaltender.
Penguins goalie Matt Murray made saves against PA Parenteau, Cammalleri and Travis Zajac in the shootout.
Senators 2, Hurricanes 1: Kyle Turris scored with 3:32 left to give the Ottawa Senators their ninth one-goal victory of the season with a 2-1 over the Carolina Hurricanes.
Craig Anderson made 32 saves and defenseman Dion Phaneuf also scored for Ottawa.
Sebastian Aho scored for the Hurricanes, while Cam Ward made 22 saves.
Maple Leafs 4, Capitals 2: Matt Martin, James van Riemsdyk, Auston Matthews and Nazem Kadri each scored one goal as the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the Washington Capitals.

Nicklas Backstrom had a goal and an assist and Marcus Johansson scored a goal for the Capitals, who got 33 saves from goaltender Braden Holtby.
Panthers 2, Blue Jackets 1 (SO): Aleksander Barkov scored the only goal in a shootout as the Florida Panthers beat the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Panthers goalie Roberto Luongo, who had been working on a shutout before Brandon Saad scored with 7:10 left in the third period, stopped all three shootout attempts by Columbus.
Florida's Jaromir Jagr, the oldest player in the league at 44, scored career goal number 752 in the first period. It was just his third this season.
Blue Jackets goalie Sergei Bobrovsky made 22 saves.

Galchenyuk finished off a 2-on-1 by one-timing a pass from Alexander Radulov past Petr Mrazek from the bottom of the left circle for the game winner. It was Galchenyuk's ninth goal.
Blues 4, Wild 3 (SO): Jaden Schwartz had two third-period goals and David Perron scored the winner in the shootout to lead the St. Louis Blues to victory over the Minnesota Wild.
