MADINAH — Afzaal, Usman, Wajhi, Abdullah, Irfan and Imran performed well in SCC Cup 2016. This T20 tournament is organized by Madinah Cricket League (MCL) and sponsored by Saudi Cricket Center (SCC). Crown Steel ended the unbeaten run of Madinah Strikers. Batting first, Crown Steel tallied 177-8 in 20 overs. Usman played well and made 58, Sajid 30 and Wali 22. Moin took 4 wickets, while Perwaiz and Irfan got 1 each. Madinah Strikers struggled from the start and could only manage 144-7. Sameer top scored with 62, Moin 25 and Perwaiz 15. Mudassir once again took 2 wickets, Zain 1 and Arslan 1. Kashmir XI won against Asdaf XI by 4 wickets. Opting to bat first, Asdaf XI recorded 212-5. Wajhi played an impressive innings of 113. He was supported by Waqas (24) and Irfan (19). Shoaib took 2 wickets, while Asad and Afzal grabbed 1 each. Kashmir XI reached the target in 19.5 overs. Thanks to an outstanding unbeaten innings of Afzaal who made 106 in just 40 balls. Imran contributed 20 and Asad 19. Afzal of Asdaf took 3 wickets, while Wajhi and waqas claimed 1 each. Another one-sided encounter between Lahore Badshah and Young Star ended up in favor of the latter. Batting first, Lahore Badshah posted 183-5. Imran hit 70, Waled 41 and Habib 26. Irfan took 3 wickets and Saleem 2. Young Stars achieved the target in just 15.4 overs. Abdullah stroked 44, Ismail 44 and Irfan 30. Habib, Farukh and Imran took 1 wicket each. In last match, Evergreen got a walk over against UCC.
