Honeywell showcases IIOT solutions at Sabic STC '16
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 06 - 11 - 2016

Honeywell, a trusted provider of intelligent technology solutions worldwide, is presenting its ‘connected' offering at the 12th edition of the Exhibition of the SABIC Technical Conference (STC) being held from today (Nov. 6) up to Nov. 9 at Jubail Industrial City, Saudi Arabia.
In line with its commitment to support industries in achieving the goals set out in Saudi Vision 2030, Honeywell will demonstrate how its ‘connected' technology and innovation are unlocking new opportunities for industrial customers to improve safety, productivity, organizational responsiveness and profitability. This is driven by Honeywell's Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions, Industrial Cyber Security portfolio, and products for connected workers, connected buildings and connected plants.
The visitor journey at Honeywell's exhibition at STC will begin with a look at the company's Industrial Ecosystem, combining, among others, Honeywell UOP's Experion Process Solutions Suite, as well as Honeywell Process Solutions automation technologies, and its Experion Orion Console, which is part of Honeywell's initiative to shape control rooms of the future. Honeywell Industrial Safety will also present its offering around wireless gas detection controllers and ‘connected' workers.
"Honeywell is proud to support the Sabic Technology Conference, the largest industrial exhibition in Saudi Arabia – converging more than 12,000 industry professionals – and a critical platform for Honeywell to engage with our valued customers and stakeholders." said Mohamed Al Mousa, president, Honeywell Saudi Arabia.
"Honeywell has been present in the Kingdom for more than 40 years, and has established a track record of trust, innovation and R&D. By continuing to share our knowledge of, and experience in, the Industrial Internet of Things, Honeywell is well placed to help Saudi Arabian companies to realize the ambitions of the country's Vision for 2030. Today, our solutions are being deployed within some of the country's most important initiatives, helping to improve the safety, efficiency, and productivity of Saudi people."
Under Vision 2030, Saudi Arabia is looking to develop domestic engineering and innovation capabilities to increase local production, lower operational costs, and create new job opportunities.
With its industry-leading product portfolio and expertise, Honeywell is well positioned to help Saudi Arabia grow its industrial future through increasing localized production and investment in cutting-edge engineering technologies.
Smart solutions, which leverage IIoT, enable companies to increase production at a higher rate of output, safely and efficiently. With more than 10,000 installations around the world, manufacturers are using Honeywell IIoT-based technologies to shorten the time needed for plants to reach and maintain their peak performance targets safely and sustainably.
"Honeywell›s fully integrated solutions are creating new opportunities for safety, productivity, organizational effectiveness and improving the bottom-line," added Al Mousa. "Under the guidance of its ambitious Vision, Saudi Arabia has every opportunity to lead the way for the industry on a global scale when it comes to embracing and deploying smart technology. As a company, we are proud to be a part of this journey." — SG
