EVEN if people in our society adjusted their consumption habits, there would be those who would find it difficult to adjust to the sudden decrease in their monthly salary because of the cancellation of additional allowances added to their salaries. If there are people who suffer with poor consumption habits because they spend their money on things they do not need and exceed their monthly income, there are others who know nothing of luxury except its name. All their lives they try to meet the basic needs of their families. Therefore, we cannot highlight and generalize on the issue of poor consumption habits, because it is unfair for many. I know people who have never traveled in their life. They have never owned a luxury car and do not eat in fancy restaurants. They did not drink a cup of coffee in the lobby of a fancy hotel because their salary barely covers their family's needs. Such families were the first to suffer with the increase in the cost of living, and they still suffer the most when businessmen decide to increase the cost of their products as and when they want. Such people have nothing except their meager salary that is in bad need of an increase. They can't spend money, unless it is urgent. When their salaries begin to decline and their additional allowance is cut from the basic salary, without any alternatives in compensation, then these families face serious trouble.
