List of the missing six
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 22 - 09 - 2016

Okaz
The search for the missing people or things is a work of charity for which Almighty Allah will reward Muslims. As you are all charitable people, I beg you to search for six missing things.
It is extremely vital to find these missing entities otherwise we may all be missing with them or get lost while we are very much alive.
The first of these missing entities is the youngest of them. It is the newly-born "Entertainment Authority". Since it was born, we have not heard its voice nor have we seen its picture.
The main problem, which may confront us while searching for this authority is that, we do not know its features, look of its face or the color of its hair. We have no photo of it to assist us in the hunt for it.
We were informed of its birth and that was all. There was no word about it since then. Looking for it may itself be a recreational activity like playing the game of the Pokemon Go.
The second of the missing entities is a teenager, which finds itself sometimes and says to us here I am only to discover that it is still missing on the same street on which it walks day and night.
The official name of this missing entity is the "Ministry of Housing". Though its name bears the word "housing" it has not so far accommodated any one.
The third missing thing is old and therefore is supposed to have enough experience and wisdom. It should have been an expert in the process of change and also in the fluctuations of time.
Its name is "The External Information". It is an old department of the Ministry of Culture and Information. We are well aware of its looks and features but when there is need for it, it dissolves in thin air.
The media in the US, Britain, Egypt and other countries have no one else expect us to attack and criticize. Our old friend, which should counterattack and defend us, is resting in its old office doing nothing.
The fourth missing entity has peculiar habits. It leaves behind in the desert some marks that may help us recognize it. This is the "National Anti- Corruption Commission" (Nazaha).
Whenever you go out of the cities and towns to the dessert and remote areas, you will find its signs and billboards.
I appeal to any one of you who may find Nazaha never to bring it back to its family. You should nobly advise it not to make many signboards identifying corruption so as to save expenses.
The fifth missing thing is the oldest of them. It is called the Marour "Department of Traffic". I have no doubt that you all are familiar with its looks and can easily recognize it when you see it.
However, the traffic police have long disappeared. You can be sure that the traffic police is long gone from a scene of a car running the red light without its driver even blinking or feeling sorry for the mistake he has made.
You can also recognize the absence of the Marour when a driver who, is reversing against the flow of traffic on a street, tells you without blinking an eye that he does not care whether there is a traffic policeman there to punish him, or not.
The most precious and valuable of all the missing things is the "National Dialogue". Since it has been accommodated in a new luxurious building, it has disappeared. It is not at all heeding the sentiments of hate, sectarianism, racism and elimination of the other, which are filling our air and roaming freely on our streets.
