Darul Ilm Jeddah holds it's 20th annual convocation

JEDDAH — Parents should properly focus on religious education of their children, which is the most important need of the time, said Moulana Hafiz Syed Khaleelullah Basheer Owais Bukhari Naqshbandi, recently at the Darbar Hall at Shadab restaurant.
Naqshbandi, who was the chief guest in the 20th annual convocation ceremony of Darul Ilm Jeddah organized by the Bazm-e-Tulba-E-Qadeem Wa Muhibban-E-Jamia Nizamia (Alumni and fans of Jamia Nizamia, Hyderabad), made this statement on this occasion.
He threw light on religious education and thoughts and said it shapes one's character. Our Prophet (pbuh) also stressed that the parents need to focus on their children's overall education and provide them with religious education to build their morals and character and be a component of success in life.
Darul Ilm Jeddah is an affiliated educational institution of Jamia Nizamia, one of the oldest Islamic universities in Hyderabad, India.
The event was organized by the university's alumni, Bazm-e-Tulba-E-Qadeem Wa Muhibban-E-Jamia Nizamia, which is also called as Old Boys Association and fans of Jamia Nizamia under the patronage of alumni founder president Moulana Hafiz Mohammed Naveed Afroze Naveed.
Syed Jamal Ullah Qadri, president Urdu Academy, Jeddah, and president of the education committee of the alumni association, presided over the gathering.
The program began with the recitation of verses of the Holy Qur'an by Moulana Hafiz Mohammed Abdul Salam Aziz Siddiqui Anwaari, general secretary of the alumni association, followed by a beautiful and heart touching Naat by Hafiz Mohammed Saleem Qadri, joint secretary of the alumni association.
He also presented a brief introduction of Jamia Nizamia and the alumni association. Moulana Hafiz Mohammed Abdul Salam, vice president Bazm, delivered the welcome address.
Later Moulana Hafiz Mohammed Abdul Salam Aziz, general secretary of the alumni association, presented the annual educational report and said that this year 57 students received certificates and prizes in the 40 days short term summer course of the Darul Ilm under the supervision of Mohammed Muslahuddin Jawaid Sabri, vice president, education committee.
Shameem Kauser, chief patron Khakh-e-Taiba, and Syed Emaduddin Moazam Qadri also attended the occasion as guest of honors.
Moulana Mohammed Naveed Afroz, president of the alumni association, said all the associated members of Darul Ilm are performing, with honestly and sincerity, services to Islam. He gave from his own pocket a cash award to a student for his best performances.
Qadri said in his address that Darul Ilm is an affiliated school with Jamia Nizamia therefore, to obtain a certificate or degree from Darul Ilm is similar to obtaining a certificate from Jamia Nizamia.
In Qira't competition (Qur'an recitation), Qari Mohammed Zishan Ali of fifth standard won the first prize followed by Mohammed Azeem Mahboobi of class four the second prize and Mohammed Ameen of class three the third prize respectively.
In Naat competition, Syed Kamal Uddin Hussain of fourth standard won the first prize followed by Azeem Ahmed Mahboobi of class four the second prize and Mohammed Mustafa Khan of class four the third prize in that order.
Aqib Mohammed of third standard won the first prize in the junior level followed by Syed Yaqoub Khan of class three the second prize and Mohammed Abdul Muqeet of class three the third prize respectively.
In Urdu speeches, Mohammed Zeeshan Ali won the first prize while as Mohammed Nadeem Mohiuddin Siddiqui took the second prize and Yaseen Asif Ahmed bagged the third prize.
In English speeches, Syed Shujauddin took the first prize, Mohammed Naeem Mohiuddin Siddiqui the second prize and Syed Kamaluddin Hussain finished third.
Meanwhile in the Islamic Quiz competition the winning team was the Moulana Abdullah Quraishi Azhari (R.A) whose in charge was Moulana Hafiz Mohammed Abdul Salam Aziz
In Naatiya Bait Baazi the winning team was Amaan Ali Saqib Sabiri (R.A) whose in charge was Moulana Hafiz Mohammed Naveed Afroz.
The program concluded with the awarding of the certificates and degrees to the students who passed the examinations from Darul Ilm by the chief patron, president, chief guests and distinguished guests.
Other organizers of the event Moulana Hafiz Hyder Ali, Moulana Hafiz Waliuddin Noori and Hafiz Qari Syed Durwaish Mohiuddin. Mohammed Kaleem Sabri and Shoeib were given appreciation awards. The vote of thanks was given by Qari Mohammed Ijaz Sabri.
