ASJC lends a helping hand to local community
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 03 - 09 - 2016

AL SALEM Johnson Controls (YORK), a pioneer provider of integrated HVAC solutions and equipment, recently partnered with the Jeddah Community Centers under the company's Corporate Social Responsibility program that aims to lend a helping hand to the local community. The company also joined forces with the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) in Jeddah to engage with the students of the institute.
Through this initiative, Al Salem Johnson Controls donated a number of YORK A/C Units to unprivileged families chosen by the Jeddah Community Centers at local neighborhoods in an exerted effort to continuously provide support to the public. To top the initiative and give it an extended angle, Al Salem Johnson Controls partnered with TVTC, so that its technician students who have reached their operational and practical training phase handled the installation of the donated YORK A/C units at the receiving families' homes, under the supervision of YORK's technicians. Those students will be granted a certification from YORK to be added to the certifications and recognitions earned during their technical and vocational training at the Institute.
Dr. Mohanad Alshaikh, member of the Board at the Jeddah Community Centers and CEO of Al Salem Johnson Controls, highlighted the company's efforts and said: "Al Salem Johnson Controls fully supports the local community and takes pride in motivating its workforce to take on voluntary and charitable work. We are pleased to work with the Jeddah Community Centers to reach unprivileged families and extend the required support."
He added: "Our company is also keen on standing as the backbone of localization and training programs, not to mention aiding students during their operational training, whether it's in industrial institutes or universities. It is imperative that we encourage the new generation to pursue different careers, namely artistic and technical disciplines that are in line with the company's lines of businesses."
Hasan Al Zahrani, secretary general of the Jeddah Community Centers stated: "Jeddah Community Centers strives to offer its services to the community and neighborhoods for a better developed society, and aims to expand its portfolio of partnerships with several entities towards reaching that goal. We are happy to join hands with Al Salem Johnson Controls, a company that is known for its community service programs, in an endeavor to help our people in Jeddah or across any region of Saudi Arabia."
Al Salem Johnson Controls is devoted to preserve the environment, upkeep its community services and focus on education. The company's dedication to follow in the path of sustainability and energy savings is applied in all its products and units.
Established in 1991, Al Salem Johnson Controls is an industrial leader and pioneer in providing its customers with integrated solutions that incorporate HVAC equipment, fire and security systems, building management systems and controls that increase energy efficiency in Saudi Arabia and Lebanon.
