The District, part of the Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority-organized Abu Dhabi Summer Season, is located in the du Forum and is a one-of-a-kind space dedicated to provide those aged between 14-22 with an outlet to learn new skills and receive support and guidance in a variety of areas including innovation, entertainment, technology, fashion, digital media, health, science, nutrition and sustainability to name a few. The Aldar Innovation Lab will provide a fun and dynamic environment for creativity, information sharing, building new knowledge, and discovering technology. The program will include: Entrepreneurship Academy – training on business definition, product development, growth and investor relationships to help entrepreneurs take their ideas to the next level Recycling Robotics – creating unique and imaginative robots out of discarded household items 360 VR – with Liminal 360, participants will engage into virtual reality experiences transforming passive viewing into immersive, interactive experiences that bring fresh sophistication and a modern edge. La discipline du rectangle – challenge boundaries by being encouraged into the smallest spaces possible with a game of ‘Rectangle Discipline' Genesis – Internationally recognized photographer Chronis Spanos shares his experiences of re-imagining our surroundings through his manipulations of architectural photography and reflects on his work with Aldar Properties Murals – Elio Mercado, famed for his work on the Al Raha Beach mural will be discussing mural art and its role in generating dialogue and building relationships The Game – dedicated to teens to collaborate and create many exciting levels for a new game.
