JEDDAH — The Health Directorate increased its preparations to receive respiratory disease patients due to the dust storm. Jeddah Health Affairs Director Mubarak Essa said the city witnessed another dust storm on Monday for the second time this week. "All health institutes are ready to receive emergency cases. The number of doctors and nurses has been increased. The most affected by the dust storm are those with respiratory diseases. The emergency ward and its staff are on duty 24/7," said Essa. General Presidency for Meteorology and Environment spokesman Hussain Al-Qahtani said that will be active wind in Makkah and Madinah provinces would spread dust and sand and obstruct vision. "There may be thunder storms and heavy rain in Najran, Jazan, Asir, Baha, Taif and the eastern mountains of Makkah Province. Humidity will increase during the night in the Eastern Province and the following morning may be foggy," said Al-Qahtani. He also said the eastern, central and northerneastern areas of the Kingdom have experienced high temperatures over the past 24 hours. "The weather in the western and west-southern areas of the Kingdom is different than the weather in eastern, central and east-northern areas of the Kingdom. The forecast shows that there may be dust storms in northern areas of the Eastern Province and Qassim, western areas of Riyadh and Madinah and eastern areas of Makkah," said Al-Qahtani. He added the speed of wind by the Red Sea Coast is 40 km per hour while the speed of wind by the Arabian Gulf is 35 km per hour. Jeddah Civil Defense warned through its official Twitter account of the dust storm.
