CITIZEN showcases Eco-Drive technology across major airports
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 31 - 07 - 2016

TO celebrate the 40th Anniversary of its path-breaking Eco-Drive light-powered technology, CITIZEN will be showcasing the technology and their flagship models at Eco-Drive Lounges across leading international gateway airports across the world.
The CITIZEN Eco-Drive Lounges, which will be located in Concourse A and Concourse D of Dubai International Airport, will showcase the cutting-edge technology and a range of frontline timepieces at all through the month of September. In addition, these lounges will offer attractive prizes and special offers for travellers.
This will be the Middle Eastern leg of the exhibition, which will also make stops in other leading international hub airports in: Sydney, Singapore, Frankfurt, Shanghai, Bangkok, Hong Kong and Sao Paulo all through 2016.
Through the Eco-Drive Lounge, CITIZEN will demonstrate Eco-Drive*1technology, which converts any source of light into electrical energy to keep watches running and introduce CITIZEN as a true manufacture d'horlogerie, that produces all components in its timepieces, down to the movement, to a global audience.
At the Eco-Drive Lounge, the brand's flagship "Eco-Drive One" models for 2016 will be on display. Eco-Drive One is the world's thinnest*2 light-powered watch and was unveiled at Baselworld earlier this year. The Eco-Drive One, just 2.98 m thick light-powered watch with a 1.00 mm*3 thick movement, highlights CITIZEN as a pioneer of light-powered technology and a true manufacture d'horlogerie.
CITIZEN has over the years improved on the Eco-Drive technology and created a series of Eco-Drive watches that are thinner, smaller, lighter, more multifunction and more beautiful than ever before.
The 40 years of advancements in Eco-Drive technology embody the brand statement "Better Starts Now"; a simple belief that, no matter who you are or what you do, it is always possible to make something better
