year-old Saudi girl who fled to Georgia with the passports and mobile phones of all family members during a vacation in Turkey has returned home. The Saudi Embassy in Azerbaijan said in a statement on Thursday that the girl had been hiding out with relatives in Georgia and that she escaped following a dispute with her parents. The Saudi Embassy in Turkey facilitated the family's return to the Kingdom, Al-Riyadh newspaper reported. The embassy in Baku said that it was making all efforts to resolve the problem amicably and contacted the Georgian authorities and relatives in Georgia. The Saudi family reached the northern Turkish city of Tarabizun to spend summer holidays. The Saudi Embassy in Ankara said it had received a complaint from the family that the girl had escaped with the passports and mobile phones of all family members. The embassy immediately contacted the Turkish security authorities and investigations revealed that the girl had crossed the border to Georgia. A taxi driver in Tarabizun admitted to the police that he had taken her to Georgia. The Saudi embassies in Turkey and Azerbaijan had made coordinated efforts to find the girl after receiving the complaint. They had passed all available information to the Georgian security authorities who in turn launched a massive hunt for the girl. After the missing of the girl was found, the embassy in Ankara had arranged travel documents for the family to return to the Kingdom.
