Etihad Etisalat “Mobily” has announced the launch of a full web-provisioned Cloud Server as usage model which would be the first operator in the Region, a press statement of the Company said here Friday. The server would transform the traditional IT environment by addressing the complexity and inflexibility through dynamic and scalable IT resources. “It will help the customers to become more agile and cost effective to their businesses,” Khalid Al-Kaf, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Mobily said. “Cloud Server is a paradigm shift from client–server technology which delivers convenient, on-demand access to highly available pools of resources with same level of security and reduces the provisioning times from weeks to minutes. “ “With Mobily “Cloud Server” services the payback period for customers is months instead of years,” he added. The service would allow the customer to focus on their main businesses, start immediately rather than build and manage their own IT infrastructure and solutions. It would shield them from day to day infrastructure concerns and risks at reduced cost of ownership without any initial investment. It would provide customers predictable monthly service charges, where customers would pay for the time they use the resources. With Mobily “Cloud Server” services customer can test and enjoy the demo services free of charge for a month.
