Umrah branch municipality in Makkah raided several restaurants, rest houses and food joints on the Jeddah-Makkah Expressway. At least 14 expatriate workers who were working without health certificates were arrested during the raid. The director for services at the municipality, Muwafaq Al-Ossaimi, said more than 530 kg of contaminated fish, 24 kg of rotten vegetables and green salad, and 71 kg of sweets with no certificates of origin were seized and destroyed. — SG photo by Badea Abu Al-Naja
