Bedairi to head new professionals in IMA KSA Western Chapter

Hani Bedairi, audit partner – Deloitte & Touche Riyadh has been selected as the president of the IMA Western Region Chapter — KSA for the term 2016-2017, a local chapter in the Western Region for Institute of Management Accountant (IMA, USA).
IMA has been champion of and resource for the financial management and accounting profession for over 90 years. IMA was founded in 1919 in Buffalo, NY, as the National Association of Cost Accountants (NACA) to promote the knowledge and professionalism among cost accountants and foster wider understanding role of the cost accountant in management.
In 1991, it was changed to Institute of Management Accountant (IMA) signifying broader role as the association of accountant and financial professionals inside the organizations throughout the world in more than 100 countries consisting of over 40,000 certified members.
Western Region Chapter – KSA consist of group of professionals from local community who are working in leading organization in a leading position providing highest quality service to the management.
As the chapter, the members will take advantage of many benefits such as networking with the local and global business professionals, professional developments, enhancing the leadership skills and many more exciting events.
The chapter consists of 9 board members from various business sectors who would be contributing to make this chapter exciting for the coming terms. The members are Hani Bedairi – President, Vijay Soni – Vice President, Devendra Singh – Secretary, Sherif Aryan – Treasurer, Shoaib Malik – Director Marketing, Ahmad Sammak – Director Membership Development, Essam Salem – Director Public Relations and Social Networking and Amin Al Bukhari.
"I have enjoyed my first meeting with the new board members as I could sense the enthusiasm, determination and full of energy within the board members. The board members are exciting professionals I feel proud to be part of the Chapter as we will face many challenges in this term. This is a great opportunity for us to promote constant atmosphere of innovations and new vision in KSA Western Region. I'll have different activities to do other than office routine work," said Bedairi.
"The year 2016 is going through financial challenges with the new tax and corporate regulations, changing commercial environment filled with challenges and opportunities. A well-informed management accountant can add great value to business and the society at large for taking timely measures. The chapter will try to fill this domain by holding current affair events and brainstorming among large finance communities. The current Board members' excitement highlights perfect for us to make the chapter extraordinary this term," briefed Soni.
"I have been board member before and I am glad I have been selected again, I must stress our first and second meetings feedback was very strong. Since there have been vast changes in the market and KSA regulation we have more events and topics to discuss, I am very positive with my past experience and new board members we will make this term chapter a history for IMA Chapters as I could sense new innovation this year" said Al Sammak.
"Membership from IMA is very rewarding experience which believes in promoting accounting and finance in any part of the world. One of the main objectives of this chapter is to engage with professionals that would support and guide to become successful leaders in the finance field. Sometimes we face new challenges and opportunities for which guidance is needed, I am confident that this chapter would direct us to success that would solve any equation. I am looking forward to work for such community" – said SMalik.
IMA Western Regional Chapter this year is planning to host many events this year, which can boost the professional skills, networking, social activities and fun events. — SG
