Jamie Raven brings magic touch to Abu Dhabi
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 05 - 07 - 2016

British illusionist Jamie Raven is taking his dazzling talents to Abu Dhabi in what is set to be a scintillating performance of his self-titled "Jamie Raven - Master of Illusion" show at Emirates Palace on July 8-9.
His back-to-back performances, made possible by FLASH Entertainment in association with Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA, Abu Dhabi), make the UAE capital the magician's only Middle Eastern stop on his inaugural world tour as part of the fun-packed Abu Dhabi Summer Season 2016.
Raven will captivate crowds of all ages with his signature brand of visual illusions, card tricks and interactive effects that continue to blow the minds of audiences around the world.
The popular magician first appeared on the scene when he mesmerized viewers on the ninth season of the hit TV-show ‘Britain's Got Talent', where he finished second in the competition after garnering more than 20% of the nationwide vote.
He hasn't looked back since, headlining in "The Illusionists" at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London's West End shortly after his rise to fame. The star is now mere days away from a pair of show-stopping performances in the UAE capital. The magic is set to begin at 19:30 GST on both days, which form part of a blockbuster Eid-Al-Fitr weekend line-up.
"I can't tell you how excited I am about coming to Abu Dhabi and bringing the show I've toured the UK with. There are all sorts of magic, we've got the close-up style performed right under people's noses [alongside] the grander scale illusions," Raven said to eager fans ahead of his first appearance in the UAE.
He added: "There will be tricks where I need members of the audience to come and help me, and I've even got a section devoted entirely to technology. I'm really looking forward to bringing you a stunning show."
Raven's magic has now been viewed more than 200 million times online, enjoying a popularity that only continues to grow with each passing show.
He has undertaken a number of exciting projects since ‘Britain's Got Talent', including a showcase of his skills for the "Magic of the FA Cup" and his appearance as the online face for TalkTalk, a national telecommunications provider in the UK.
Abu Dhabi Summer Season 2016 is an exciting program of world-class international theater shows, comedy acts, concerts, circus performances, and more that will be held at venues across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the Western Region. The season, designed to entertain the entire family, will span Eid-Al-Fitr, the school holidays and Indian Independence Day from July 7 to Sept. 11.
Close to 60 exclusive deals and offers across Abu Dhabi emirate are also available for the duration of the season.
