KTT hosts seminar on ‘Welcome Ramadan'

JEDDAH — A seminar titled "Isteqbal-e-Ramadan (Welcome Ramadan)" was organized by Khak-e-Taiba Trust (KTT), a social organization, at a local restaurant here recently. A large number of expatriates attended and gained knowledge about holy month of Ramadan in the light of teaching of Qur'an and Hadith.
Imam and Khateeb of Masjid Sulaimania, Jeddah, Mufti Mohammed Omer Nadwi and Shaikh-ul-Fiqh Jamia Nizamia and President and founder Abul Hasanat Islamic Research Center in Hyderabad Maulana Mufti Syed Ziauddin Naqshbandi Qadri were the speakers.
Principal of International Indian School Jeddah Syed Masood Ahmed and Trustee KTT from Hyderabad Sadiq Ali were special guests of the evening. KTT President Ahmed Abdul Hakeem gave the welcome speech.
Mufti Mohammed Omer Nadwi said, "Allah has given the holy month of Ramadan to us to gain rewards from Allah as every good act will be rewarded 70 times from Allah. Though we have limited time in this world we need to struggle hard in making this time virtuous and to think of the time of Akhirah where we will be living forever."
He added, "Ramadan is a good chance to improve ourselves, and we should avail the chance to achieve its full benefits." He also emphasized on the need of being disciplined in Ramadan.
He said, "We should always seek forgiveness from Allah as he will forgive those people who ask forgiveness." He stressed on the need of being particular in observing prayers; and avoid evil acts in this holy month of Ramadan. "We are lucky enough to get this holy month again in our lives, we should take advantage of it by devoting time to remember Allah and giving charity."
Maulana Mufti Syed Ziauddin Naqshbandi Qadri, said: "Allah commanded us to fast and pay zakat in proper Islamic way, it is the way to gain Allah's blessings". He also shed light on the importance of zakat and how one should pay it.
"Allah has given us a chance by giving this holy month again in our lives, and there is a night in the month which is better than one thousand nights, we should avail this chance to get benefit and rewards from that night which is in this month. Those people are lucky who avail the blessings of this month and gain reward with their good deeds."
Overseas Chief patron and Trustee of the trust Mohammed Shamim Kausar shed light on the activities of the trust and applauded the contribution of the Hyderabadi community in Jeddah. He said, "We have completed our 25th year and are planning to celebrate the silver jubilee function in July this year, in those past 25 years the trust has provided employment to about 50,000 women, and the Trust owns its building with 800 students".
Imran Kausar, director computer center, displayed all the KTT activities in Jeddah and back home in Hyderabad through projector.
KTT's general secretary and Trustee Syed Khaja Viqaruddin compered the program and briefed about KTT's educational activities. He said, "We mainly focus on educating youth, and currently 800 students are studying in the school. We aim to reach 1,000 students this year, Sangareddy branch is a gift for us, and your cooperation is the reason in making this work possible."
President KTT Ahmed Abdul Hakeem said, "KTT will remain supportive in educational field to empower our generation, cause education is a key to build a better society"
Aijaz Ahmed Khan said, "I have tried to enjoin our youth in Trust welfare activities, and addition of young workers gives a new life to Trust."
Masood Ahmed praised the KTT's effort in his speech. He said, "Because of Trust's school a poor student can stand beside a convent student." He emphasized to all associations to work for the betterment of education.
Hafiz and Qari Noor Mohd recited verses from the Qur'an before the program commenced and it was followed by a Naat from Ameenuddin Ansari. Vice president Mir Arif Ali delivered vote of thanks.
