Leading manufacturer, retailer and distributor of premium beds, bedding and bedroom furniture, Intercoil International, has opened a new manufacturing facility in Dammam to cater to Saudi Arabia's rapidly growing hospitality sector. Boasting state-of-the-art technology, the 4,400 m2 factory will manufacture premium mattresses and a wide range of quality bedroom furniture in a variety of finishes. Production at the facility will begin with a daily capacity of 500 mattresses and 200 bedroom furniture pieces, with plans to double mattress capacity within the next three years. The opening comes at a time when religious and business tourism sectors are thriving in the region due to the expansion of Holy Mosques, governmental diversification efforts, logistical upgrades and a growing MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, exhibitions) segment. Religious tourism numbers alone are expected to jump from 17.5 million in 2014 to 25 – 30 million by 2025, and with premium hotels dominating Saudi Arabia's hospitality industry, demand for luxury brands is expected to continue. Exclusive licensed manufacturer and distributor for top US brands Simmons and Therapedic, Intercoil expects demand for Simmons' Beautyrest range of mattresses to remain high — continuing its reign as the preferred mattress brand for 18 of the top 20 international hotel companies in the world. Manufactured and distributed in KSA exclusively by Intercoil, the Beautyrest mattress is one of several high quality, highly durable, eco-friendly mattresses on offer in the extensive Intercoil range that will cater to all demands, including Saudi's developing mid-range hotel segment.
