40-team Western Union Ersal T20 tournament kicks off at RCL

The Western Union Ersal T20 Cup kicked off at Riyadh Cricket League (RCL) Complex here recently.
The 40-team tournament is sponsored by Western Union Ersal and organized by Riyadh Cricket League.
The teams are divided into two divisions. The Super Division comprises: Shuraim, Mughal, AKCC, Ever Green, Shaheen XI, Fuchs, Mehran, Pakhtunkhwa, Game Pro, Gujranwala, Telangana Warriors and Riyadh Blues.
The Premier Division consists of: Konkan Green, Jamia, Deccan Knights, Pure Health, United, Kashmir, SACO, Run Riderz, Gujral, Riyadh Pirates, Derab Golf, South Indian Stunerz, Cricketers, PK Knights, Mazaya, Khalili Stars, Pak Fighters, Maestro, Pak XI, Channar XI, Shaheen Strikers, Diamond, Fakhre Afghan, Diamond II, Al-Momin and Eleven Stars.
Mehran, AKCC, Diamond 1, Game Pro, Khalili Stars, Jamia, Deccan Knights and Run Riderz register wins in the first week of action.
Run Riderz got the better of Gujral by 86 runs. Batting first, Run Riderz made 235. Mahmood Hussain scored 101 and Minhaj 38. Nazar took 2 wickets. In reply, Gujral fell short by 86 runs. Nazar hit 56 and Vasi 27. Sameer took 4 wickets and Salim 3. Man of the Match: Mahmood Hussain.
Mehran thrashed Riyadh Blues by 81 runs. Mehran posted 216. Osman and Jaweed gave their team a good start. Rehman top scored with 51 and Basharat added 35. Ajay claimed 2 wickets. Riyadh Blues fell short by 53 runs. Fayaz scored 29 and Sufiyan 22. Basharath took 2 wickets. Man of the Match: Rehan.
GamePro beat Gujranwala by 41 runs. Game Pro put on 236. Shammi scored 91 with Ashfaue making 56. Jamsheed bagged 2 wickets. Gujranwala also failed to chase and fell short by 41 runs. Easa claimed 4 wickets. Man of the Match: Shammi.
AKCC humbled Fuchs by 177 runs. AKCC scored 237 as Zaheer hit 87, Kamal 49 and Sultan 44. Noor took 1 wicket. Fuchs was bundled out for 60. Kamal and A. Rehman took 3 wickets each. Man of the Match: Zaheer.
DKG got the better of SACO by 72 runs. Batting first, DKG posted 157 with contributions from Sameer (48) and Kamran (25). Maqsood took 4 wickets. In reply, SACO was bowled out for 85. Sameer took 3 wickets and Hamad 2. Man of the Match: Sameer.
Khalili Stars thumped Maestro by 86 runs. Khalili Stars made 194 thanks to Arif Rana (84). Shoaib took 3 wickets. Maestro failed in the chase and fell short by 86 runs. Aziz and Ashraf bagged 2 wickets each. Man of the Match: Arif Rana.
Diamond I beat Diamond II by 18 runs. Diamond I made 166 with Ibrahim scoring 39 and Amer 30. Omair, Sami and Naeem Akbar took 2 wickets each. Diamond II fell short by 18 runs. Tabrez (35) and Omair (30) were among the runs. Taib Afzal took 6 wickets. Man of the Match: Taib Afzal.
Jamia beat Kokan by 6 runs. Jamia made 178 with Mushtaq scoring 96. Manoj, Danish and Akbar took 1 wicket each. Kokan fell short by 6 runs. Mansoor made 69 and Manhoj 28. Mustafa took 3 wickets. Man of the Match: Mushtaq. — SG
