Egypt Air, the national flag carrier of Egypt, on Tuesday celebrated its 84-year anniversary in Jeddah with a gala dinner event that brought special guests, travel agencies and loyal customers together, along with media representatives. Ahmed Shahin, general manager of Egypt Air in Saudi Arabia, Mofaq Al Sayed, manager of Egypt Air in Riyadh, Ashraf Nadir, manager of Egypt Air in Dammam, Mohammed Al Ashgar, manager of Egypt Air in Madina welcomed guests in the presence of deputy consul general of Egypt in Jeddah, Dr. Saeed Yahia, president of Egyptian labors abroad and officials of GACA. As part of its gala celebration, Ahmed Shahin, the general manager of Egypt honored Egypt Air's loyal travel agencies in Saudi Arabia for their support and efforts in 2016. Shahin said "Today we are here to celebrate 84 years of our. We started operations on May 7, 1932 and have seen remarkable growth in the market over the last eighty-four years – our journey has truly been exciting.' He added that throughout the past eight decades of operations, and in support of its network expansion, Egypt Air has been continuously developing its fleet with modern passenger and cargo aircraft. Egypt Air was established on May 7, 1932. It is the first carrier to be established in Africa and the Middle East and the seventh in the world.
