Saudia Catering unveils largest unit for washing textiles in KAEC

JEDDAH — With a capacity of 30 tons of laundry per day targeting accommodation companies, hotel sector and industrial cities, Saudi Airlines Catering has introduced recently the largest automatic laundry ever in the region on an area of 10 thousand square meters at the industrial valley of King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC).
Wajdi ben Mohammed Al Ghabban, CEO of Saudi Airlines Catering Company, explained that the company has witnessed since its foundation in 1981, a rapid expansion to extend its operations to serve the various sectors to include businessmen lounges, retail sales and catering services for those seeking Umrah or Haj , in addition to services in remote areas and security and housing services.
He said also the company has undertaken over the past years to intensify its efforts in order to boost continuous improvement and innovation programs , and to facilitate operations in order to meet the increasing demand and achieve employment competency. By the introduction of laundry services in association with catering operations, the company achieved the required diversity in activities, especially after the high levels that customers have clearly noticed in various sectors, which reveals that the company's strategic planning has put a lot of successful ideas into practice, especially services that come out of the framework of planes catering services, based on the significant experiences gained throughout years of work to be exploited in broad fields.
He considered that the company's location in this vital site of King Abdullah Economic City enabled it to offer its services to all of the city of Jeddah, and Makkah as the company has existed before in Riyadh City to provide its services, easily and conveniently, for its customers in the central region.

Abdullah Al-Hasan, Vice Secretary General of the Economic Development in the Economic Cities Agency, said the inauguration of the new facility for Saudi Laundry Services in the industrial valley of King Abdullah's Economic City is an important addition which incarnates the ability of the economic cities to establish an environment that attracts important investments and strategic projects. Saudi Laundry Services provides laundry services for major industrial companies, medical facilities, hotels and linens rental for commercial purposes. The laundry includes amenities dedicated to automated sorting continuous washing machines, chemical tuning system, and ironing Also, washing laundry weighting 100 kg, digital dryers while ensuring its quality certified by the International Joint Commission of the Central Council for the adoption of health care institutions and from Hohenstein Institute of Germany.
