ADUKG hits milestone in UAE demand for English language training
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 01 - 05 - 2016

Abu Dhabi University Knowledge Group (ADUKG) has hit and exceeded a key milestone in demand for its IELTS (International English Language Testing System) English language exam at its IELTS testing centers in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
To date, ADUKG has examined over 40,500 IELTS candidates since beginning testing back in 2008, with around 9,000 IELTS candidates examined in just the last 12 months.
IELTS is the world's most popular English language test, and is widely considered to be the international benchmark for English language proficiency. It is an essential prerequisite in many applications, such as for higher education and employment purposes.
ADUKG's IELTS test centers have marked themselves out through the additional support they provide to candidates to help ensure they can perform at their best. This is centered around effectively preparing candidates for the test experience, providing tips on revision and time management to ensure that they aren't overly stressed or nervous during the test itself.
"We are, of course, very pleased to see such a high level of interest in our English language training. Alongside the Arabic language, English is a key success factor for all graduates and young people entering the job market in the region, as well as equipping them with a critical skill for operating in a globalised economy.
"Our own impressive candidate figures - which have continued to rise every year - are a direct consequence of our commitment to the wider UAE community, ably supported by our excellent team of expert trainers and examiners," said Dr. Ahmad Badr, Chief Executive Officer of ADUKG.
ADUKG also offers an IELTS Preparation program designed for non-native English speakers who are looking to improve their language skills for the IELTS test. The program aims to maximize each participant's potential to achieve their target IELTS score through a focus on all facets of language skills and the use of authentic practice tests and materials.
Globally, over 2 million IELTS tests are taken every year, assessing candidates' reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. The examination is developed by world-leading experts in language assessment and is accepted by more than 9,000 organizations worldwide – including universities, employers, immigration authorities and professional bodies. IELTS itself is jointly owned by the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia, and Cambridge English Assessment.
