The Embassy of Japan, in cooperation with Saudi Judo Federation and Public Security, held Japanese Ambassador's Cup for Judo at Prince Mohammed Bin Naif Hall of Public Security Training City here recently. Japanese Ambassador Norihiro Okuda watched the final of the national Judo Championship and the performance of the winner team of Self-Defense Championship. He held the Saudi judo players in high esteem for their distinguished technique and skills. The ambassador said: "It was an honor to join the Saudi national championship of Judo and the Japanese Ambassador's Cup. Every perfect move at their show demonstrated that they have equipped manner and discipline through the martial art. I'm glad to see it in Saudi Arabia. "Through the practice of Judo, each player cultivates self-discipline and respect for other players. Judo is a good way of educating virtues which are essential for one's own life. It is delightful that Judo here demonstrates its virtue as education for security officers and students as we witnessed here," he added. Japan will hold Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics in 2020. It will include judo. The country has cooperated with the Kingdom in various fields including sports, for example a big exhibition of Japanese martial arts delegation in last November.
