Latest paper tissue technology unveiled at Fine plant in Jeddah
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 11 - 04 - 2016

Fine Hygienic Holding, prominent and loved tissue brand in Saudi Arabia, recently unveiled its latest technology in the tissue paper industry in its factory in Jeddah. This occasion came as part of exhibiting the fully automatized machinery that are extremely delicate towards the hygiene of every single tissue paper, as it is never touched by the human hand to members of the press.
Research has shown that due to typical manufacturing processes, the average tissue could be contaminated with germs. This comes from an unsterilized manufacturing process as well as the frequent touching by human hands – a key carrier of germs from person to person – along the manufacturing lines.
There are two processes working in tandem that take place to ensure a sterile and germ free Fine tissue paper. The first process starts from the raw materials where by ‘Steripro', a patented technology, makes sure the raw materials are germ free and protected from contamination. The second process is the manufacturing process which uses ‘No Touch' technology to ensure no human hand touches the tissue paper till it reaches the final consumer.
This Fine factory is also the largest Fine factory among the plethora of Fine factories present in Arab region including Egypt, Jordan and Morocco.
By that, these factories cover the demand of the countries they are operating in and their neighboring countries in the MENA region, Indian Sub-continent and East Africa.
Ahmad Zein, Head of Sales & Marketing at the Fine Hygienic Holding, said: "Our efforts in producing highly hygienic tissue paper with an extremely smooth texture is a cultivation of our experience that has extended for almost 64 years. We have invested our time and efforts to ensure that the end consumer with a product that not only satisfies their needs, but also aids in the protection from any harmful substances or germs. The processes that produce these paper products from the raw material before reaching consumer hands ensures that no external factors, including the human hand contaminate the end product. By that, Fine makes certain its leading position as the leader in producing the finest quality tissue paper consumed by millions of consumers that put their trust in the brand."
Eng. Maen Al-Tabari, Head of Operations at Fine Hygienic Holding, said: "We believe in constant growth and our machinery have transcended the tissue paper industry ensuring germ free tissue paper. Our efforts of growth have not only been limited to machinery, but also the human force that operates these machines. Our high Saudization rate and our employees are guaranteed long-term growth as the company expands its operations. This stems for our utter belief that sustaining the quality of the product in Saudi Arabia requires involving Saudi Arabian community in the production process."
"The constant training and development of our employees is considered a high priority for us, this is why our Saudi employees are invited to function across different departments in the company and in diverse job positions depending on what suits their interests and capabilities becoming operators, supervisors and top line managers. Our learning curve is very high and this is supported by our complex machinery that calculates every variable when producing this simple yet vital product," Maen added.
"We are pleased that such technology is now available in the Kingdom, since it's extremely vital in such times that the community take careful attention in maintaining a germ free environment. From what we have been witnessed, Fine is a key player and contributor in this aspect," said Dr. Khaled Al-Sharif Head of Infection and Control Unit at Batterjee Medical College and former Head of Infection and Control in the General Directorate of Health Affairs in the province of Makkah.
