SBIE '16 to highlight innovative practices

JEDDAH — The Silver Jubilee edition of Saudi Building & Interiors Exhibition (SBIE) will be held on April 11-14, 2016 at the Jeddah Center for Forums and Events under the patronage of Prince Mishaal bin Majed, Governor of Jeddah. It is organized by Al Harithy Company for Exhibitions (ACE).
Saudi Arabia's rapid progress in the construction and the real estate sector, has witnessed the launch of numerous commercial, residential, hospital, school and education facilities projects, thus creating a demand for interior & outdoor design, décor & furnishings.
SBIE 2016 is set to host 200 national and international pavilions from China, Egypt, Turkey, and individual companies from Europe, Arab World and Asia.
Leading Saudi companies will also be participating representing a large number of locally manufactured products and representing international brands.
"As always the objective of SBIE is to display the latest in technology, usage of materials and innovative approaches to interior design, décor & furniture. SBIE serves to meet the growing demand, by bringing together all the leading companies in the industry under one roof," said Zahoor Siddique, Vice President of ACE.
At Saudi Building & Interiors Exhibition, architects, engineers, contractors, designers, interior decorators and government officials will have the opportunity to evaluate and source the best products and services.
In its 25th edition, SBIE 2016 will be showcasing products related to building materials and hardware, climate control, construction equipment and tools, electricity and lighting, environmental conservation, marble, granite and stone technology, safety, security and fire prevention, water technology, waste management. Interior designs and products related to hotels and leisure, office environment, outdoors and landscape design, schools and hospitals, shopping malls and restaurants, residential areas are also exhibited in this show.
To meet the big demand of construction sector, the 2016 Saudi government's budget has allocated around SR21 billion ($5.6 billion) for municipal services and SR24 billion ($6.4 billion) for infrastructure and logistics. In addition, healthcare and education also have received substantial allocations for construction of hospitals, schools and education facilities.
The show timings are 4-10 p.m. daily.
