Amadeus launches touchless solutions to help travel agencies
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 01 - 04 - 2016

AMADEUS Saudi Arabia, a leading provider of advanced and innovative solutions for the travel industry, has recently launched Amadeus Touchless Solutions, a suite of custom solutions designed specifically to help Amadeus clients in the Kingdom optimize their workflow process.
The suite has four modules: quality control, auto-ticketing, schedule change and fare optimization. These various solutions allow travel agencies to identify the lowest daily fares available on selected flights, make fare comparisons and provide travelers with the best prices, making them satisfied and more loyal.
Amadeus Touchless Solutions help travel agencies and tour operators save time when issuing tickets and dealing with schedule changes and notifying travelers of any change in their itineraries. This technology also reduces operational costs, increases profits, boosts productivity of travel agencies and improves the quality of work — by allowing more efficient use of time and resources.
Moreover, the suite enhances and guarantees the quality of Personal Number Records (PNRs), also known as reservation number, and reduces errors with automated checks for travelers' names and flight information and data. It helps control ticketing workflow and document issuance as well.
Amadeus, a leader in travel technology, always designs flexible and efficient solutions that adapt to the needs of its Kingdom-based clients and can be fully integrated and easily customized, permitting travel agencies to render swift and top-notch services to their travelers.
Nashat Bukhari, general manager of Amadeus Saudi Arabia, said: "Amadeus attaches unparalleled importance to local travel agencies in the Kingdom and provides highly effective and game-changing industrial solutions to help them revolutionize customer experiences in an unprecedented way and ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty. It works side by side with travel agencies to shape the future of the travel in the country."
He added: "Amadeus will continue to provide cutting-edge technology to local clients and cement its presence in the Saudi market as the premier global distribution system and IT solution provider."
It is worth mentioning that the volume of the Kingdom's tourism and travel sector is estimated to be SR10 billion. The sector has over the past years seen rapid growth and increasing levels of consumer spending on domestic and overseas travel and tourism services, which proves that the sector offers major investment opportunities.
Numerous reports issued by the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage, a state-run organization concerned with developing the tourism sector, have shown that the growth rate of job opportunities in this sector between 2010-2020 is estimated to be 10 percent while the number of job opportunities is estimated to hit 1.7 million in 2020.
