The General Organization for Pensions has given the go ahead for state-of-the-art housing projects in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam. The organization's governor Muhammad Al-Kharashi made the announcement at a conference on Wednesday where he also revealed that a housing project in Jizan was being studied. The schedules and budgets of the projects have already been approved. However, further programming, management and coordination are needed to prevent any problems occurring. Al-Kharashi said electricity, sewage and water authorities are working closely to ensure there are no problems in the services and public utilities. The announcement was made when the Minister of Housing Dr. Shuwaish Al-Duwaihi and the Jordanian Minister of Housing toured the King Abdullah Financial Center project Wednesday. Al-Kharashi said that “50 percent of the center project has been completed including the foundations. All that is left is the finishing, which is expected to be completed by the end of this year.” Dr. Al-Duwaihi expressed his pride in the high standards of the housing projects. “The Jordanian Minister of Housing chose to visit this project due to its importance to the economy in the region and to attracting investments, as it is the first of its kind,” he said. __
