Saudi Build '16 sees bright outlook as construction sector remains upbeat
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 24 - 02 - 2016

Saudi Build, the 28th International Trade Exhibition for Construction Materials, Building & Environmental Technology, Saudi Arabia's most significant construction event for over two decades, is set to take place once again at Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Centre (RICEC) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The four-day event on Oct. 17-20, 2016 will host thousands of international manufacturers, exporters and businessmen, as well as tens of thousands of regional engineers, importers and industry professionals to connect and engage with the latest technology that the Kingdom's largest sector has to offer.
Saudi Build is the only construction trade show in Saudi Arabia certified by UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, which is a hallmark of top quality aside from high exhibitors' and visitors' satisfaction.
In conjunction with the Saudi Build 2016, two ancillary events – Saudi Stone-Tech, the 19th International Stone and Stone Technology Exhibition, and Saudi Build – The PMV Series, the 7th International Exhibition for Equipment, Plant, Machinery and Vehicles, will also showcase their latest products, services and all they have to offer to discerning visitors and traders.
The three state-of-the-art exhibitions under one roof are expected to generate interest and strike major deals from both the private and public sectors amid booming construction industry. The over 26,000 sqm of dedicated exhibition space will serve as a platform for direct engagement among professionals across the industry. Saudi Build attracts as well key buyers who need the most up-to-date technology and equipment available on the market.
Despite short-term economic headwinds brought about by low oil prices, industry leaders forecast that the Saudi construction market looks positive in 2016 with sustained strong growth expected for the infrastructure sector.
Saudi Arabia's construction sector maintains its position as the Middle East's largest construction market, and is set to grow 7.8% by 2019.
The massive transportation projects, with an investment exceeding SR112.b billion in airport infrastructure by 2020, and the construction of 6 smart cities by 2025 at a cost of SR412.5 billion are sufficient enough to ensure the continuous growth of the Saudi construction industry.
Saudi Build 2016 is being organized by Riyadh Exhibitions Co. Ltd., the company specialized in organizing exhibitions, conferences and other trade events. The company caters to several activities for various economic sectors. Throughout its 35 years, REC has organized more than 440 unique and successful shows and conferences renowned for their innovation, professionalism and attention to details.
