Four people were injured in a fire that broke out in an apartment in the city's Al-Safa District on Friday. Makkah Civil Defense spokesman Col. Saeed Sarhan said gas leak in the kitchen was the cause of the fire and there was an explosion. The fire burnt the furniture of the living room and the bed room. The fire also damaged the walls of the kitchen, the walls of the bed room, the main entrance and a few cars parked outside the house. The paramedics reported two men and two women were injured. They suffered from second and third degree burns. The victims were taken to the hospital and the police are investigating the incident further to assess the damages. Family rescued from home fire TABARJAL, JOUF — The Civil Defense rescued two children and their parents from fire that broke out in their home on Friday. Jouf Civil Defense spokesman Lt. Gen. Muayish Al-Ruwaili said firemen rescued the family of four before extinguishing the fire. The victims included two boys aged 3 and 5 and their parents. The paramedics treated the father on the spot and transported the mother and her sons to Tabarjal Public Hospital. Their condition is stable. The Civil Defense reported the cause of fire was an electric error. Naked body found in lake WADI AL-DAWASIR/RIYADH — The Civil Defense personnel hauled a dead body of a Sudanese expatriate from a lake. The Civil Defense tweeted that the naked body was found in a lake in a farm east of the province. The lake had an area of 20X10 sq. meters and 15 meters deep. The body was hauled out and given to the police for further investigation. Body of expat found in a farm QURAYYAT, JOUF — The Civil Defense found the body of an expatriate stuck in a water machine. Jouf Civil Defense spokesman Lt. Gen. Muayish Al-Ruwaili said rescue personnel pulled out the body of the Egyptian expatriate. The body was forwarded to the pertinent authorities for further investigation. 3 die in Qassim road accident BURAIDAH — Three people died in a road accident. Qassim Education reported one of the supervisors at one of its school was on her way to school when she got into a road accident. The accident took place on Qassim-Hail Highway Road near Al-Qaraa Bridge. The accident was the collision of two vehicles one of which had the supervisor in it. The accident resulted in the death of the supervisor, an Asian driver and his wife.
