Grand Mufti and President of Senior Scholars Council and Presidency of Scholarly Research and Ifta Sheikh Abdulaziz Al-Asheikh stressed the importance of Islamic cohesion and adherence to the law of the Holy Qur'an and the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him). The Grand Mufti's comments came on Tuesday during his address to the guests, preachers and intellectuals who participated in the National Festival for Heritage and Culture (Al-Janadriyah). He said the unification of ranks is crucial at a time when enemies are trying to destabilize security and stability. The Grand Mufti said that Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman ordered the launch of Operation Decisive Storm to defend the Islamic doctrine which has suffered a major attack from those who want to harm Islam and Muslims. The guests expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Kingdom, its leadership, government and people. They stressed that it is legitimately imperative that Muslims stand by the Kingdom in its call to encounter the dangers that are trying to undermine Islam and Muslims, and to achieve Arab integration and solidarity as the danger threatens the values of Islam and distorts its message. The guests included Grand Mufti of the Republic of Mauritania, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Murabet, Mufti of North Tripoli of Lebanon Sheikh Malik Al-Sha'ar, President of Sudan's University of Ansar Al-Sunnah Dr. Sheikh Ismail Al-Mahi and Chairman of the Society of Quran and Sunnah in Morocco Dr. Mohammed Al-Maghraowi.
